Little St James is a small private island southeast of neighboring Great St James Island. Both are located off the southern coast of the larger St Thomas island. Although Little St James Island is private, visitors may still enjoy the water surrounding it.
The weather on and around Little St James is the same as nearby St Thomas.
Places to See and Things to Do
Motor yacht JUST ENOUGH is a fantastic yacht to call home base for your water sports adventures. This 141-foot motor yacht accommodates 11 guests in 5 cabins. Scuba dive. The underwater world off of this private island is fascinating. The Ledges of Little St James on the west side of the island have interesting coral ridges and outcroppings to explore. The ledges run along the island at two depths, 45 feet and 25. Look for schools of French grunt, Spanish lobster, spotted eagle rays, and sometimes a nurse shark. Another nearby dive site, Cow and Calf, has a network of coral tunnels filled with caves, reefs, and underwater coral-covered boulders.
Fish. Throw a line in the water and try your luck at landing dinner. The Virgin Islands offer some of the world’s best fishing grounds.
Relax. Spend a day simply reading that book you brought, or even napping.
