Sailing Yacht Charter Liberte: Mojito Recipe

Sailing Yacht Charter Liberte shares a treat every month and this one might just be the best one yet! We are treated to the many special drinks and sailing adventures of Liberte, who never seem to leave a stone unturned for their guests. Here is their drink for the month of May, their famous Mojito!

A wonderfully refreshing drink made up of 5 important ingredients:

• *1.25 oz Rum–
  Usually, a white rum but a darker rum can be used, Bacardi actually has a special rum made for mixing Mojito’s we find this to be the best mixed with Don Q or another white rum.
• -12 Leaves fresh Mint
• -1 tbsp sugar
• -0.5 oz Lime Juice
• -2 oz soda water(club soda)

Method:
Place mint leaves in the bottom of a glass. Add crushed ice, rum, sugar, and lime juice, and mix. We usually crush the mint leaves and lime together in the bottom of the glass using a pounding stick, Add soda water and garnish with a few more mint leaves.
A few of these brings a nice glow to the faces and surroundings! Delicious on a hot afternoon as the sun sets…..
