-CAPTAIN ADAM BERMINGHAM:
Adam was born in Dublin, Ireland but grew up next to the river Thames in London. Being so close to the water was the perfect opportunity to get started in sailing and powerboating and he did so from the Age of 8. During his upbringing, he competed heavily in both match fleet and powerboat racing getting recognized by Team GB in his teenage years.
There was no doubt that Adam would be a successful Captain as it was his lifelong aspiration. In 2015 he completed his Yachtmaster Offshore 200ton Licence for both Sail & Motor yachts, he wasted no time breaking into the industry and his drive and determination have allowed him to take charge of various private & charter vessels in his 7 years as captain.

Melissa was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona and went on to attend university there as well. Her passion for traveling started at a young age and hasn’t slowed down since! Five years ago she decided to make a career switch from sales and turn her focus on her love for cooking and seeing new places. Since then she’s worked in Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, and throughout the Caribbean.
She just recently graduated from Ashburton Cookery School with a certificate in Culinary Arts. Subsequently, Melissa can’t wait to show you all the new things she’s learned while you’re on board. She always tries to incorporate fresh and local ingredients to create a culinary experience you’ll never forget! When she’s not in the kitchen you can find her snorkeling with turtles, hiking to find the best views, or reading a book in the sun.

We are about to board our flight back to reality and wanted to get this email out describing our trip on Mare Blu. It was awesome. From the boat itself to the incredible crew it exceeded all expectations. We were especially happy with the crew. Adam, Melissa, and Aleya had wonderful chemistry with each other and their guests. Each one were great at their jobs. The food was awesome and the service impeccable. I could go on and on but you get the message. Keep them together as long as you can. We will be back.
Bess. What a fantastic experience! Every detail was seen to and perfect. Adam is a great captain, mixologist, and busboy! Melissa impressed us all at every meal. Just outstanding! Aleya is just a precious soul who entertained us with new card games, water sports and even made us macrame bracelets for souvenirs. She’s a sweetheart! I can’t say enough about this awesome team! The boat is spectacular and our accommodations were nice. We were in one of the smaller staterooms and had space for everything we needed. I would definitely charter this boat again! Thank you for all your information and attention to detail before our trip. The only surprises were pleasant and food related lol!!
