From the moment we stepped aboard Boatox, Mike and Debbie made us feel completely at ease. As a husband and wife crew, they have an easy chemistry that sets the tone for the entire trip. The atmosphere they created was calm, welcoming, relaxed, and fun. By the end of the first day, it felt less like we had hired a captain and first mate and more like we were exploring the British Virgin Islands with friends.

Mike is everything you’d hope for in a captain. His knowledge of the islands, weather, anchorages, and hidden gems is remarkable. Every recommendation was spot on, from secluded beaches and incredible snorkeling to scenic hikes and an unforgettable beachfront lobster dinner. We trusted his judgment completely, and each day somehow managed to surpass the last.

And then there’s Debbie.....

Yes, she’s an extraordinary cook, but that hardly captures everything she brought to the trip. Every breakfast, lunch, appetizer, dinner, and dessert was exceptional. Beautifully prepared, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor, her meals rivaled many of the restaurants we visited. More than once, we found ourselves looking forward to dinner onboard just as much as dining ashore because we knew Debbie would create something special.

What impressed us just as much was the way she and Mike worked together. While Debbie was anticipating every guest need, she was also right beside Mike raising sails, navigating, handling lines, and docking the yacht. And when it was time to prepare a meal, Mike was just as quick to step into the galley to lend a hand. There was never a sense of “his job” or “her job.” They simply worked as one team, always supporting each other and doing whatever was needed to create an exceptional experience.

What made the week truly unforgettable wasn’t just the itinerary or the incredible food. It was the way Mike and Debbie cared for every detail without ever making it feel like work. Their teamwork, patience, kindness, and genuine hospitality created an environment where we could completely unplug, relax, laugh, and enjoy every moment. Everything felt effortless because they made it look that way. By the end of the week, we didn’t just leave with wonderful memories of the British Virgin Islands. We left feeling like we’d made two new friends.

Our 7 day cruise on Boatox was unbelievable. We knew it would be amazing but Mike and Deb made it magical.

Had the most AMAZING experience aboard "Boatox"! From the minute we stepped on u til the minute we stepped off Mike and Debbie were the ultimate hosts! The quality, presentation, and flavour were on par with some of the best restaurants we've been to, which made it even more impressive knowing it was all coming from the galley of a catamaran. Every meal was a highlight.

This was genuinely one of the best vacations we've ever had, and we're already counting down the days until we can return. We are still marveling at our amazing week with our family of 5 on Boatox!! From the very start with authentic yacht charter our experience was incredible. The boat itself was beautiful with plenty of space for our three teens to spread out but also lots of space for us to hang out all together. There aren't adequate words to describe how fabulous our crew was. Mike and Debbie are simply Wonderful people who love each other, love what they do and joyfully share it with others. I consider myself pretty "well traveled" and have enjoyed some remarkable destinations and experiences around the world. While the Caribbean has been a destination enjoyed for business reward trips, with family, and with friends... a catamaran charter beyond a day trip had not made my list of adventures, until last week.
Using my upcoming 50th birthday as an "excuse", my wife and I embarked with two other couples on what was truly a celebration of great friendship and a mutual love of adventure, new experiences and relaxation.
Our week-long charter on the catamaran Boatox delivered all of these things, and so much more. Thanks to our crew, Mike and Debbie Norman, we enjoyed the BVIs "must see" destinations along with some special lesser known treats. While charting an appropriate course is very important, my pre-trip research put significant importance on how the crew members themselves can greatly influence the experience of the guests. Although my first trip like this, I can't agree more with this statement and would recommend choosing a well recommended crew as being as or more important than boat amenities, exact trip routes, etc...
That being said, Mike and Debbie were simply the best! I can't imagine how a crew could be more personable, knowledgeable and caring to details than these two. They made us feel safe and confident at every turn, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the time with our friends. We were kept on track to phenomenal destinations, without feeling rushed and looked after at all times with anything we could need and want.
I could go on and on about the boat accommodations above and below deck, the specific destinations and activities we enjoyed, and especially the wonderful food the entire week. But if there is one thing I would suggest to a first-timer, choose your crew with intention. I am confident our selection of Boatox, and specifically Mike and Debbie, elevated our experience to a level many seasoned charter guests may have not yet been lucky enough to experience.

What an amazing time we had sailing the BVls on Boatox with Captain Mike and Chef Debbie! It was a week of perfect weather, smooth sailing, delicious gourmet food and gorgeous views enjoyed with friends. The hospitality of Mike and Debbie was top notch! From Debbie's attention to detail, remembering our food preferences and making sure we had everything we needed to Mike's insightful recommendations for hiking, snorkeling and places that were must sees! This was our first chartered Catamaran experience and I assure you it won't be the last! We visited the USVI but mostly the BVI. The water and beaches are obviously stunning and breathtaking at times, so that leaves the catamaran and hosts as variables.
We were fortunate to be on Boatox, a beautifully appointed Catamaran, but most importantly we had luck on our side to be in the capable and gracious care of Debbie and Mike Norman!
Their commitment to our experience and holiday was quite evident! Communication regarding options of where to go and why and what we should expect was beyond helpful. The thoughtful approach to our experience was pivotal to our itinerary. Our safety was always at the forefront of decisions and how to maximize our experience.
Whether it was where to snorkel or where to to find a private cove or how to navigate off boat experiences such as beaches, beach bars, restaurants, spa treatments or must see sights, the options and logistics where well thought out and we were seamlessly guided.
The food was beautifully presented and our preferences were constantly discussed. Debbie sets exquisite table scapes and I'm still not sure where she keeps all the pieces. Mike is at the ready to make you a hand crafted cocktail at any moment!
Beyond the "duties" of the chef and captain, Mike and Debbie extended themselves to us as friends and quickly became like family. We celebrated together and shared stories of our lives and it became obvious to us these are genuine people with hearts of gold.
I will be challenged in future charters to be in such capable and caring hands with anyone but Mike and Debbie! 5 stars, highly recommend!

We had an amazing time onboard Boatox with Mike and Debbie Norman! Had no idea what to expect from this trip — just knew we wanted to go! Everything was superb! The boat is clean and comfortable, the weather was perfect, the itinerary was awesome and Mike and Debbie were the perfect hosts! I am a very picky eater and Debbie accommodated me at each meal, without making me feel uncomfortable. Already planning to return and spend more time in the BVI with the Normans.

Not only was this our first catamaran adventure, but it was our first trip to the British Virgin Islands. Our group of six adults left somewhat spellbound by the experience aboard the Boatox with its crew, Mike and Debbie. The boat size was perfect (one of my concerns) and well appointed,; the stops were exquisite (so much good snorkeling and local fun); and the crew was simply spectacular. Mike and Debbie are very knowledgeable of the area and guided us to the best locations with our limited time. Plus, they are just so likable (can we adopt them?). Great food and great memories. We would do it again in a heartbeat and hope to sooner rather than later.

Each day was a different experience. Captain Mike took us to places where we enjoyed snorkeling, walking the beach, site seeing at the island and just relaxing. On some days we were able to sail to our destination making that day's journey something you have only dreamed about.

We had a phenomenal charter on the super clean and bright catamaran Boatox. Mike and Debbie made our busy wishlist itinerary come true! Even the weather cooperated. Chef Debbie made delicious meals and treated us to a South African BBQ and the popular South African Bobotie 😘 as well as Paella, Thai curry shrimp, grilled steaks and too many yummy dishes to remember! Captain Mike kept the Espresso Martini’s, Pain Killer’s, Bushwacker’s, Lemon drops, and various drink specials flowing. The Salt and Swagger Six had a legendary time making everlasting memories! Debbie and Mike are a fun loving couple and care deeply about their guests comfort and safety. Captain Mike even made a song about us! Thanks again Mike and Debbie our new forever friends!

The most unbelievable trip, on the most unbelievable boat, with the most unbelievable crew! Mike and Debbie are hands down the best hosts you could ever dream of for, and Boatox was truly magical. Mike effortlessly guided us and met our every request, while Debbie was by far the best chef, and first mate anyone could ask for. Mike and Debbie are now more than friends to us, they are family. Best vacation of our lives! We can’t wait to go back. We were celebrating two family birthdays and they made it so memorable. The kids wanted action while we wanted to chill and Mike and Debbie accommodated everyone. The food was a culinary experience every meal both in taste and presentation. Debbie was a master chef. Mike was captain but also helped everyone with fishing, paddleboards, snorkeling, and shuttling everyone in the dinghy and he makes some amazing cocktails. In addition to being experts at their crafts they are quite fun. We left feeling like we had gained new family members.

Our catamaran trip last week in the British Virgin Islands aboard BOATOX with Captain Mike and Debbie Norman was absolutely spectacular. Our group are all experienced boaters who have spent a lot of time on the water, and we all agreed this was one of the best trips we've ever taken and glad we didn't captain this trip ourselves. Chartering this boat with a captain and chef was incredible and worth every penny.
The 50' Lagoon catamaran had an incredible layout with four spacious cabins and private bathrooms, plus multiple lounging areas with sun, shade, and AC. With eight of us onboard, there was always plenty of room to relax, socialize, or find a quiet spot to unwind.
From the moment we stepped aboard, Mike and Deb made us feel completely welcome and at ease. Their friendly, laid-back personalities combined with their professionalism made it clear we were in great hands.
Every day brought a new adventure. We swam with tarpon at Saba Rock, snorkeled the famous caves at The Caves, hand-fed fish right off the back of the boat, and even jumped off the legendary Willy T floating bar. One afternoon Deb even tried teaching us how to blow a conch shell like a trumpet. Let's just say none of us were very good at it...including Deb! (e We'll all need a little more practice before our next trip with them.
The real surprise highlight of the trip was the food. Mike and Deb's attention to detail was incredible. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and tailored to everyone's tastes. The handcrafted cocktails, creative meals, and amazing desserts quickly became something we all looked forward to every day.
It was also obvious that Mike and Deb know the islands extremely well. They guided us to fantastic snorkeling spots, fun beach bars, great restaurants, and some beautiful quiet coves that made the experience even more special.
I truly can't say enough about our week on BOATOX. Between the incredible boat, the outstanding crew, and the beauty of the islands, this was easily one of the most memorable trips of my life. Mike and Deb-thank you for creating such an unforgettable week for all of us.

The New Year's Eve party they gave us will be a lifelong memory, full of surprises complete with lighted ball drop from the mast at midnight followed by nearby fireworks! We can not say enough how fantastic our experience was. If you are looking for a personalized 5 star experience, this is your crew!

We sailed on Boatox from Tortola in the BVI.
Captain/host was Westley. Chef/Hostess was Leandri. Both were EXCELLENT!! They were knowledgeable, skilled, friendly, fun and both were hard working. Leandri in particular “cooked up a feast “ for us at each meal. The catamaran Boatox is a beautiful boat, well appointed and well equipped. Our journey was a week of non stop activities and sailing to beautiful new places. God willing, we hope to sail again with Westley and Leandri!!

Wow what a fantastic week we had sailing the British Virgin Islands aboard BOATOX !!! We had the most fantastic crew that took care of our every need and fed us like we were kings and queens. Westley and Leandri have to be the hardest working crew in the islands. They were professional they were enjoyable and most of all they wanted us to have the trip of a lifetime and we certainly did.😍

Our cruise on the catamaran Boatox with two other couples to the BVI was perfect! The boat is lovely - there was space for all 6 of us to be together or options where we could be alone or with just a couple of folks. It was well designed and very comfortable. I think we could have been on any catamaran but what made this trip so special was the crew. Captain Westley and Mate/Chef Liandri did an amazing job taking great care of us. They worked hard and constantly. The meals were unbelievable. I don’t usually eat 3 meals a day but each one was so beautifully presented and delicious I couldn’t resist. Liandri is a great chef and she and Westley made sure our drink glasses were always full!! I am not a confident swimmer and asked if Westley could tie a rope to the boat so I could hang on and not fear I would be pushed around by the waves. He and Liandri made a hole in a noodle and attached a long rope to it and I could float around with no fear!! It was my birthday while on the trip and when I came up from my cabin that morning the salon was decorated with balloons and streamers and she had a sash ready for me to put on! The certainly made it one of the most special birthday celebrations I have ever had - and she made a birthday cake!! On two different days Westley put out big circular floats which were great for relaxing in the beautiful waters. The islands he took us too were lovely and each special in their own way. They were always kind, helpful and informative. I would only recommend that if you want to take a lovely relaxing vacation do take a catamaran trip in the BVI but be sure Westley is the captain and Leandri is the mate/chef. It wasn’t the boat that made it perfect it was them.

Want to be treated to a first-class vacation…having every single whim taken care of even before you think of it? Westley and Leandri, Captain and Chef, on our 6 person catamaran cruise took care of every single detail. These two are remarkable!!! There were 6 of us friends dreaming of this vacation for some time. There wasn’t one detail left out….from ensuring we had food, drinks that we liked….to when we like to eat….what time we awaken. Everything exceeded our expectations. The Boatox was lovely, but truly…Westley and Leandri made the trip of a lifetime all that….and so much more. Ask for them as you consider your cruise. We are fortunate to now call them friends!!!

We spent an incredible week on Boatox in the BVI with our superb crew, Westley and Leandri!

We were two couples looking to relax and our week was perfect from start to finish! The boat was new, very clean, well outfitted, and well provisioned! The crew clearly took the time to plan our meals and itinerary according to our wishes.

We immediately felt at home on the boat and the crew offered the perfect combination of professionalism and friendship! As anyone who has chartered knows, the crew can make or break your trip and this team is top notch!

Captain Westley not only guided us expertly and safely around the BVI waters, but was also proactive in reserving prime mooring balls, arranging ground transportation and helping us make itinerary decisions.

Leandri is an exquisite chef (the best we've had on the three charters we've taken!). She somehow managed to make four people with different tastes extremely happy with EVERY meal! Her presentation was also incredible. A feast for the eyes and palate! She also gave excellent advise on the best snorkeling spots and land activities. I need to mention the cocktails too...they were to die for!!!

We truly relaxed and felt at home all week. Westley and Leandri made us feel welcome, pampered and became fast friends!!

We can't thank them enough for a fabulous vacation!!!!

Our Yacht, Boatox was a wonderful vessel, very comfortable and provided the right amount of space for the 6 of us. However, it was not the vessel that made this trip amazing, it was Leandri (the mate) and Westley (the captain). I have never seen two people work harder allowing 6 people to enjoy a great time. Leandri, is an excellent chef, and you will not go hungry enjoying her lip smacking food. Even though she was not participating in our fun activities, she shared our enthusiasm each time we came back, hugging, high fiving, and looking at some of our photos. Westley, the Captain, made sure that each day was filled with fun-filled activities and took us to places we had not even heard of that provided some truly life long memories. I'm a curious person and liked to ask lot of questions. Westley always took the time to answer them and point out places and things to me. He never made me feel like I was bothering him. Each morning they welcomed us with big smiles and went on about their work day after day making sure we were well taken care of. My advice to anyone thinking of cruising the BVI, find out what vessel Westley and Leandri are crewing and if possible charter that boat because they are what made our trip amazing providing life long memories. My husband and I took our 2 adult children along with their spouse and girlfriend on a week vacation onboard SV Boatox March 29-April 5, 2025. My heart is so full from the memories we made as a family. What a blessing to witness everyone so appreciative and enjoying this extraordinary sailing experience.

With that being said it could not have happened so seamlessly without Captain Westley and First Mate/Chef Leandri. From our first communication it was obvious they both took pride in their jobs and the boat. Boatox was very clean upon our arrival and remained that way throughout our vacation. The food and drinks were fantastic, and even tailored to individual’s likes and dislikes. We experienced amazing sailing with very high winds thanks to Westley’s expertise. He picked the perfect spot to moar each day to explore and relax. I am grateful to have met Westley & Leandri and for the pampering they gave us. None of us would change a thing.

This was a 5 star vacation with a 5 star crew that my family will treasure forever!

We recently had the upmost pleasure to experience life aboard the Boatox. Our family spent a week sailing between Saint Thomas and Saint John islands with the most spectacular views, food and company.

Captain Westley expertly and safely navigated us to all the best spots and Chef Leandri crafted the most beautiful and delicious meals every single day. They were a joy to be with and honestly made the experience even better if that’s possible. We couldn’t have imagined a better trip without them.

This truly was such an amazing and once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget!

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive when it came to having a captain and 1st mate. Previously I had always done barefoot. However, Lee and Wesley we're fantastic. Wesley, the captain was always in complete control of the boat and knew the BVI waters like the back of his hand. Lee, the first mate, could not have been more accommodating. She cooked gourmet meals for both breakfast, lunch and dinner. She was available when you needed her but seemed to disappear when you needed your time alone or privacy. The boat “Boatox” was built in 2024 and was in pristine condition, much to the credit of Wesley and Lee.

I should also mention that I had never used a broker before but John Dewhurst from Yacht Vacations couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. He held our hand as to the steps contracting the yacht as well as the arrangements as to where you pick up the yacht and go through customs etcetera. He called several times just to make sure everything was going well and to make sure we did not have any concerns or questions. I should point out that the one time we had a concern, John immediately got the issue resolved.

We had an unforgettable week on Boatox in the BVIs! Just my husband and our 11-year-old daughter and it could not have been more perfect. We spent six nights on the boat, exploring Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, Guana Island, JVD, and NormanIsland. Our Captain Westley and Chef Leandri
We’re amazing in every way! They had the perfect balance of professionalism and becoming our friends for the week, and we now consider them friends for a lifetime! Westley was not only a great captain, but also super helpful with all the extras, such as boat accessories, fishing, etc. He was always willing to go above and beyond to make our days fun and interesting! Leandri was such a great addition for all of us! . Our daughter loved her fun spirit, especially when she jumped with her from Willie Ts! Leandri’s cooking skills were spot on! She created the perfect menu based on our preference sheet and was totally prepared for our daughter‘s picky palate! None of us went hungry for the week and we were pleased with every single meal. Not only was it delicious, it looked beautiful.
The boat itself was perfect for our family! It was very pretty and I think only a year old. The master bedroom was more spacious than I expected and the beds were super comfy! There were plenty of spots for lounging and sitting while going to different locations. We would definitely book Boatox again or recommend to friends and family!

Sailing through the BVI’s on Boatox was an experience we’ll never forget! Lee & Wes went above and beyond as guides, making sure we explored the best spots and didn’t miss a single highlight. The delicious meals on board, paired with the fun events and outstanding service, made the entire trip truly special. Every moment was thoughtfully planned, leaving us with memories to last a lifetime. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure with Boatox!

We just returned from a 7-day BVI trip to celebrate my wife's 50th. Went with two other couples that are dear friends. Hard for me to describe in words how much fun this adventure was...

Starting with the crew - Leandri and Westley...Amazing! You can tell they have a passion for what they do and they took care of us like no other. The food was off the chart - and we ate most all of our meals on the boat. They were extremely accommodating and when we tried to help with anything and everything (which we're all wired to do!) they would not let us. One of the highlights of this trip was getting to know them and their story - just fantastic people!

The islands are breathtaking. Lea and Westley planned us an amazing itinerary which included Peter Island, Norman Island, Leverick Bay, Virgin Gorda, Guana Island and Jost Van Dyke. We hit Willy T's for a drink, Soggy Dollar, Foxy's, The Baths, The Bubbly Pool, spent New Year's Eve at the Bitter End. We went into the week with some knowledge to what we would be doing - and found it best to wake up each morning and ask Lea and Westley where the day would lead us...of course each day was perfect.

The boat was out of this world! We learned that is was built in 2024 - it was beautiful. We never felt crowded - had plenty of space. They have tons of toys on board (Paddle boards, rafts, etc) that we enjoyed and the cabin rooms were perfect.

To go back to the food - I want to reiterate how great it was. Breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day and for the dinners we enjoyed pastas, paella, gourmet burgers, STEAK, Gyros! I know I'm forgetting a few - but each meal was unbelievable. Usually we ate lunch on land somewhere. There were plenty of snacks on board and of course I cannot leave out the cocktails were amazing. Lea made the most amazing drinks - especially the Pain Killers on New Year's Day - which could not have been delivered at a more perfect time. We enjoyed great wine, plenty of Caribs, etc...

Derek was great to work with in getting everything booked - and we were actually able to meet him as we boarded the boat. Fantastic job my friend - it wildly exceed ALL of our expectations.

To wrap things up - I wanted to highlight some of the notable "experiences" we had along the way...

We took a water taxi to the Boatox named "Cap'n Crunch". For folks that grew up in the 70s and 80s - I don't need to explain how special this is...

For our trips to The Baths - we rode with a driver named "Tiger". We quickly understood that he basically ran the island - and we knew we could call him for anything :) !

The vibe at Soggy Dollar was outstanding. Tons of people just meeting tons of other people and having a great time. As the bartender "Big Bird" said as he was drumming up a few Pain Killers - "Everybody at this place is happy man!"

If you do the BVIs - you will see boats that blow your mind. HUGE boats! But - you know that those folks in those boats are not having a better time than the Boatox!

So...To Lea, Westley, Derek, and the rest of the staff at The Yacht Vacation Company - hats off to ALL of you. You delivered such an amazing trip that we will never forget! I've included one picture of our entire group that Lea took. Pictures are always worth a thousand words!
