Captain Louis: A Passionate Mariner with a Wealth of Experience
Captain Louis Conradie, a native of Durban’s Bluff on South Africa’s East Coast, exudes a friendly and outgoing personality that draws people in. With a lifelong love for the sea and a passion for entertaining and connecting with others, Louis embodies the adventurous spirit of a true seafarer.
Louis’ journey with the ocean began at a young age, dedicating his free time to surfing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and sailing. By the age of 17, his determination and passion led him to co-own a 27-foot yacht—a pivotal milestone that marked the start of his sailing career. Since then, Louis has amassed countless nautical miles, honing his craft and gaining extensive knowledge of sailing and boating across South Africa’s diverse ports.
In recent years, Louis, as captain, along with his wife, Tersia, as chef, has delivered exceptional charter experiences in sought-after destinations. In 2023, they delighted guests while chartering in the USVI and BVI aboard Fountaine Pajot vessels, including a Saba 50. In 2024, their journey continued in the Bahamas, where Louis commanded a 48-foot Dufour and later a 54-foot Leopard catamaran. With each season, Louis has enhanced his skills, seamlessly navigating different yacht models and providing guests with unforgettable adventures.
Captain Louis’ dedication to creating memorable charters and his extensive sailing expertise make him a trusted and charismatic leader on the water, ensuring every voyage is both safe and extraordinary.
Chef / Stew Tersia: A Passion for Culinary Arts and Exceptional Hospitality
Tersia Conradie grew up in sunny Johannesburg, South Africa, where she cultivated a love for connection and creativity. After completing her senior certificate, she earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from RA University. However, after years in the corporate world, Tersia discovered that her true passion lay not in numbers, but in people—and in creating memorable experiences for them.
Her love for socializing and the culinary arts inspired Tersia to leave the corporate sector and open a restaurant, where she thrived as a hostess and chef, combining her flair for entertaining with her talent for preparing exceptional dishes. Meeting her husband, Louis, on a sailing holiday further sparked her love for the ocean, which became the foundation for their shared adventures in yachting and chartering.
Tersia has brought her vibrant energy, culinary skills, and warm hospitality to the charter world, delivering extraordinary guest experiences. During the 2023 season in the Caribbean, Tersia dazzled guests with her exceptional hosting and delectable cuisine, leaving a lasting impression on all who sailed with her. In 2024, she continued her journey in the Bahamas, where the turquoise waters inspired her to create even more unforgettable experiences for her guests.
With a passion for cooking, a love for entertaining, and a genuine desire to make guests feel at home, Tersia is dedicated to turning every charter into an unforgettable adventure filled with exquisite meals and heartfelt hospitality.

Good afternoon in Spain! The trip / experience exceeded my expectations. The crew was very pleasant, and the food was the best I’ve ever had! I can now appreciate why a “tandem” is tough as there are a lot of logistics throughout, but I thought that Captain Louis did a great job. He was attentive to our needs and the kids when it came to snorkeling, tubing, and more. He sailed more than I have experienced in the past which was a lot of fun.
Also, the food was amazing, and the kids couldn’t appreciate it the same way as the adults.
All-in-all, the trip was fantastic and I give it strong reviews! Thank you for all your efforts! I too hope to work with you more in the future.
My husband and I sailed for seven nights with two other couples in the Exumas, Bahamas. The travel was seamless with Captain Louis arranging transport between the airport and the marina. What made this trip 5 stars was definitely Captain Louis and his wife, chef Tersia. We enjoyed getting to know them, and they spoiled us with the most amazing meals and desserts every single day.
We loved seeing the secluded Cayes and taking the dingy to various beaches. Snorkeling was really fun also - we saw lots of sharks, spotted eagle rays, turtles, and of course reef fish. A highlight of the trip was being able to fish off the boat while we were traveling between some of the islands, the guys hooked into a school of Mahi Mahi which fed our entire group an amazing dinner that night!
I would definitely recommend this trip, or any similar sailing trip with Captain Louis and chef Tersia!!
I recently set sail with the incredible Captain Louis and the Chef Tersia, and it was an adventure for the ages! From the moment we boarded, we were greeted with smiles and laughter, and that energy never died down.
Loui´s skills on the sea was nothing short of awe-inspiring, and Tersia´s culinary creations were like nothing I´ve ever tasted before!
But what made this trip truly unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of the crew. They made us feel like family, and every moment spent on the boat was filled with joy and excitement.
If you´re looking for an unforgettable adventure, look no further, Captain Louis and Chef Tersia will take you on a journey you´ll never forget!

I wish that there were more than 5 stars!
Our group of four couples went sailing for eight days with Captain Louis Conradie and his wife, first mate and chef, Tersia. We sailed the BVI's.
The Captain and his wife made the entire trip amazing! I cant emphasize this enough, it wasn't so much the boat but THEY made it amazing. They were fun and accommodating, the captain found us beautiful bay's in which to anchor and explore, a fun excursion on Virgin Gorda and The Baths, The Indians, fun restaurants when we wanted them. But one of my big asks on the trip was snorkeling, we love snorkeling and captain Louis found us amazing places only he knew about.
But the food on the boat? Chef Tersia created meals to our exact tastes that were simply unbelievable! I would go back if only to experience her cooking again. I wish I could have taken her home as a full time chef for us! On three nights we opted to eat in fun, quaint restaurants, rather than onboard the boat, I think our entire group felt that her cooking well exceeded any of the meals that we found off the boat.
Many thanks to Captain Louis and Tersia for a fantastic experience. We all left feeling we had made new, great friends for life!
We recently returned from a week trip with Captain Louis and chef Tersia to the BVI. We had the most wonderful week with them. They were so warm and welcoming! Louis knew all the great spots to snorkel, swim and eat. Chef Tersia was the best and most accommodating chef ever! We requested a very specific menu that we wanted and she did all of it! Her food was amazing! It was so nice waking up to a full breakfast and coffee each morning! They also bought all the alcohol we wanted and replenished it whenever we needed something! We had so much fun with them! They recommended Saba Rock for dinner in Virgin Gorda and it was awesome! Our other favorites were The Baths, Soggy Dollar in Jost Van Dyke, Foxy's at night, Willy T's, Pizza Pi boat and just hanging out on the boat with our family and Louis and Tersia. We cannot wait to go again and we would definitely sail with them again!
Truly the best vacation my family has ever had. The crew was/is fantastic and are true and wonderful people. I would recommend them over and over. Thank you Louis and Tersia … You are all family now.
Ya'll, these folks are the WAY TO GO! When we started looking with very short notice, the gentleman we spoke with worked non-stop to get us with the closest set-up to what we needed. We originally were trying to get on a power catamaran, but there were none available on our requested price range in the Bahamas. But he worked through an evening and most of a day to match us with a sail catamaran that would get the job done, and we are so thankful he did! We were set up with the most incredible Captain and Chef - Louis and Tersia. I've never met such kind and accommodating people from the moment they sent a welcome letter through the entire trip. They were in constant contact asking any of our preferences and special requests and doing everything in their power to make it all happen. And her meals - 15 OUT OF 10! Above and beyond what we were expecting...from the taste to the presentation, every bite we took was delicious! She even made us a Thanksgiving dinner - AND they helped us set a projector up for the Thanksgiving football games! PS -I've never had turkey so moist and perfectly cooked. EVER. Captain Louis kept us informed and asked our opinions on the itinerary, taking any must-do-excursions in mind. We encountered great weather, so we've been lucky there, but I'm sure there was a large part that the captain took into consideration to keep us comfortable and safe. Long-winded story short, do everything you can to make it happen with this crew. They make you feel like royalty while being a part of the family with you. Ill never forget this trip!
Me, my family and friends had an amazing experience with Captain Louis and Chef Tersia! They were amazing people and made the trip very enjoyable! The food was amazing and we recommend it to anyone interested in having an amazing vacation!
Cap Louis and Chef Tersia were amazing. We had an amazing time. Louis took us to very special places and Tersia make sure the lunch, dinner and breakfast were a great surprise every day.
We had the absolutely best time sailing for 1 week in the British Virgin Islands with the crew of the Legasea!
From the beautiful scenery, the amazing Bali 54 luxury sailing vessel to the incredible crew, everything was first class!
Captain Louis, Chef Tersia and the I do it all deckhand Rudy, we were always taken care of from the time we woke up.
We will definitely be doing another chartered sailing again soon. The only challenge we have now is to lose the weight we gained on our 7 day voyage from indulging in too much fine dinning onboard and island pours!
Captain & Chef!
Thank you for a wonderful trip!
The food was outstanding.
Louis & Teresia, Thank you for a wonderful week in paradise around Tortola. We had a fantastic time. The travel, sailing, locations and food were just great! We appreciate it.
