BVISAIL
“You Make the Memories, We’ll Make the Arrangements”

Ginger Island is truly uninhabited. Just you and the local seabirds such as egrets, pelicans, and sandpipers. Lush vegetation blankets this lovely island and white sand beaches beckon you to stay for a picnic lunch. Of course, that perfect picnic is served by your yacht’s private chef.

This island is close to Cooper Island and Salt Island, so it’s a great place to spend a day or two.

Weather

Expect warm to hot and humid conditions on Ginger Island. The tropical sun also keeps the water temperature warm, so be sure to put on plenty of sunscreen and go snorkeling.

Places to See and Things to Do

  • Snorkel and dive. Healthy coral reefs around Ginger Island make this destination world-famous for underwater sight-seeing. Alice in Wonderland, which is good for beginner or intermediate divers, has mushroom-shaped coral heads. The coral provides shelter for lobsters and moray eels. Ginger Steps and Ginger Patches are two more fantastic dive sites. Your captain will direct you to the very best places to spot marine life.
  • Hike. You can climb the hills to get an amazing view of the nearby islands and miles of deep blue sea.
  • Yachts such as YES DEAR and ENDLESS HORIZON just to name a few, have a variety of water toys. Take advantage of the kayaks and stand-up paddleboards to explore the shallow waters around the island.

Marinas and Anchorages

There are no Marinas on Ginger Island. However, Sound Bay and Wedgeo Bay form a heart on the south side of the island. This is a good area for anchoring.
