S/Y Talofa chartered in the US and British Virgin Islands before being damaged in an accident. Talofa’s crew was involved with the schools and college on St. Thomas. They believed that it is important to share their boat with the children of the territory.
The Virgin Islands are a unique area with yacht chartering being a very important segment of the US and British Virgin Islands. Many charters depart from St. Thomas sailing to the British Virgin Islands which is considered to be the desirable sailing area.
