Saint Lucia has taken home gold as one of the best destinations in the Caribbean! The 2012 awards have left St Lucia with an embarrassment of riches, with accolades and honors from Travel Weekly, Condé Nast Traveler, and Travel + Leisure.
Saint Lucia (December 17, 2012) – The island of Saint Lucia ends the year with a record 50-plus awards, most recently tapped as Travel Weekly’s 2012 Readers Choice for Best Caribbean Destination. Among the noteworthy accolades: four properties were named among Fodor’s Top 100 Hotels and two resorts were featured on Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Top 100 Hotels.
“We are honored and very proud of the awards received this year and do not take them for granted. For an island of our size to be recognized with the most hotels within the Caribbean on both Fodor’s Top 100 Hotels and Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Top 100 Hotels is an accomplishment. Each award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the government, hotel and tourism partners, and the workers in the industry,” said Louis Lewis, Director of Tourism for the Saint Lucia Tourist Board.
