This charter has been truly phenomenal. We sailed this gorgeous ship and snorkeled glorious reefs, spotting squid, shark, and puffers—creatures we had never seen before. The Virgin Islands are amazing, but what truly makes Serena remarkable are its owners. Between Vivi’s incredible meals and Hugh’s enchanting stories, this was a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience.
We feel like we’ve added family. The Pittman, Baldwin, and Tolliver group are so grateful for the memories we’ve made this week. We will miss this beautiful area when we return to Detroit, but we will miss these remarkable people even more.

As we filled out our preference lists, we thought you might dread your week with us—fish lovers who can’t eat anything spicy, a teenager who avoids fish and vegetables, and a vegan who loves very spicy food. Poor Vivi! Luckily, we all love sailing, so at least you had fun on the extra windy days this week.
Serious hats off to Vivi for crafting individualized meals that kept everyone happy (especially the vegan!). And Hugh, thank you for getting Taffy out snorkeling without a hitch and listening to all of Jeff’s stories. You’ve learned far too much about this family—try not to use it against us!
Thanks for everything. I can’t remember the last time I felt this relaxed and well cared for. We hope to be back for another Serena cruise soon. Come visit us!
