After many years of chartering yachts, Peter and Fiona Wehrley founded Matrix Catamaran Sailboats in 2001. And they decided to build a luxury catamaran of their own. Peter’s structural engineering experience and extensive sailing history served as the basis for their beginnings. This soon included their son, Mark. He had extensive sailing and charter operating experience. The South African-based company still has many of the same team members today who helped get the company started. Together they build outstanding power and sailing catamarans designed for either private ownership or charter.
Matrix has bragging rights on two crewed catamaran sailboat charters in the BVI. These beauties are so outstanding that one of them, Zingara, a Silhouette 760, grabbed the attention of ABC’s “The Bachelor” and was featured for one of the date locations!
The Silhouette 760 has also grabbed the attention of the charter industry and guests alike. Designed with gorgeous marble, and rich wood finishes. And making excellent use of space and light. The primary suite on the Silhouette 760 will leave you thinking you’re in a fine hotel. Your guests will also enjoy the same design features in their staterooms.
