Grenada Government officials have transferred the Carriacou customs and immigration procedures to the Carriacou Marine Boatyard and Yacht Club in Tyrell Bay on the island of Carriacou, Grenada. The shift of the Carriacou Customs Office is expected to make the process safer, faster and easier for cruisers and charterers.
Tyrell Bay provides a more protected anchorage than Hillsborough, where northerly swells often made the former site riskier for vessels. The new location offers better shelter and improved accessibility.
Carriacou Marine also offers haul-out services, dockage, dinghy dock, mini-mart, café & bar, and a chandlery. For more details, contact the yard office directly.
When departing, you may clear out during normal working hours and leave within 24 hours. For convenience, they suggest visiting the office by 3:00 PM. This allows officials to complete formalities before the workday ends.
