Yacht charters in the Spanish Virgin Islands – summer 2010

Tim and Angela from the sailing yacht “Spirit” will be chartering in pristine area of the Spanish Virgin Islands.

Due to local conditions their preference is to sail the area in a clockwise direction. The number of charter days, guest desire, and weather conditions decide the progression.

Here is an itinerary:

  • For full week charters you can do the full circle departing the East Coast and stopping at Icacos for a swim then stopping overnight at Palominos for the first night. Next day, proceed at will toward Culebra and Culebrita spending as much of the week as desired in that pristine area. Use the balance of the week to sail either coast of Vieques back to the west for drop off on the East Coast of Puerto Rico.

Charters between 4 and 7 days–Guest takes ferry to Culebra from Fajardo. Joins Spirit at the dock and sail Culebra/ Culebrita /Vieques enjoying the contrasts available in this wonderful area of the Spanish Virgin Islands.

Spirit is a well maintained 2001 Hunter 46 for 2 guests in a forward ensuite stateroom. A comfortable and good sailing yacht. She has a spacious and shady cockpit with an aft scoop for easy water access. Snorkel gear and floating mats are available for guest to enjoy the beautiful waters of the area.

Weekly rates for 2 persons is $5500.00 inclusive of meals and drinks. Cruising taxes and licenses maybe additional.
